  • Must be a Texas teacher/educator from a public, charter, independent, or private school.

  • Open to teachers/educators teaching Grades 6-8 in the 2025–2026 school year.

  • Open to educators interested in teaching computer science.

Stipend

  • Teachers will receive a $100/day stipend for all 5 days.

  • Commitment to full 5-day (28-hour) training required for stipend.

  • Each day includes 6 hours of instruction + 1 hour lunch.

  • Daily sign-in registration is mandatory.

About the Workshop

Workshop details

The workshop begins by building a foundational understanding of Computational Thinking (CT) through interactive activities, collaborative discussions, and problem-solving tasks. Teachers engage with core concepts in CT, such as decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithm design. Using the Qubits Learning Platform, participants explore hands-on strategies to introduce CT and coding in accessible, project-based ways.
