Joules Webb is a seasoned computer science and cybersecurity educator and workshop facilitator with 25+ years of experience in education, non-profit, and research sectors. Webb's dedication to advancing computer science education has been recognized through accolades such as the 2021 WeTeach_CS Computer Science Change Maker Award and the 2024 WeTeach_CS Cybersecurity Change Maker Award, highlighting her commitment to expanding access to computing education in Texas.

Stipend
Teachers will receive a $100/day stipend for all 5 days.
Commitment to full 5-day (28-hour) training required for stipend.
Each day includes 6 hours of instruction + 1 hour lunch.
Daily sign-in registration is mandatory.

About the Workshop
Workshop details
The workshop begins by building a foundational understanding of Computational Thinking (CT) through interactive activities, collaborative discussions, and problem-solving tasks. Teachers engage with core concepts in CT, such as decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithm design. Using the Qubits Learning Platform, participants explore hands-on strategies to introduce CT and coding in accessible, project-based ways.
